The Ceremony will be held at Pua Mau Place Botanical Gardens, located in Kawaihae, on the Big Island of Hawaii (See map at right). Directions: Pua Mau Botanical Gardens is located off Highway 270 on Ala Kahua Drive (Kohala Estates) just north of Kawaihae. Turn at the 6 mile marker, 1/2 mile up the hill to the gate at a lava rock wall. From Kona (or Waikoloa): Follow HI-19/Queen Kaahumanu Hwy North 32.9 miTurn left at Akoni Pule Hwy 4.3 mi Turn right at Ala Kahua Dr 0.8 mi

mi We will be out in the open, and it will probably be pretty warm and sunny, but there is the chance of some wind. Also there will be a short walk from the parking area to the ceremony site, and none of the garden is paved, so please wear shoes you can walk on the ground with comfortably (i.e. don't wear stilettos, they sink). We have arranged transportation for those who cannot make the walk to the ceremony site, but the garden would of course like to minimize any driving within the gardens to those who need assistance.
